the what if workshop

Through this one day project I was able to break down the key components of the project, scale, medium and placement/environment, and better hone in on what I wanted to do.
I also deliberated and questioned the logistics on producing a temporary final outcome. In order to depict a disease that deteriorates why not show the extreme case, it happening quickly, maybe shown through the footage of a time-lapse to show the direness of it. So something made of ice, or decomposable, something that could be set alight safely and burnt away without setting off smoke alarms. Or the setting up of plants that would one day grow to completely cover the text, have it exhibition when it is halfway through it.
Even further I am seeing whether doing something that cannot be recorded but only watched in the exhibition space. So it only exists in that moment. I like the idea of it, but logistically it would be something I wanted shown closest to how it was for my portfolio.
or the end of a string set alight that then burns a clear path, the flame only igniting the path of the string until it is all eaten up to expose something beneath.
I will further deliberate a more delicate, temporary material.
