I was able to get several perspectives from different family members. From my mum and her sister who are his daughters. My Auntie Lesley lived with him through it, the changes as a result being less dramatic for her until it hit her all at once. I also have extended family, my mums cousin, and her family were willing to get in contact, about their experiences with her mother.
I conducted the interviews wither through an app called marco polo which send video messages back and forth, or just taping a phone call. I later relistened to the hours of footage taking and writing up different moments of importance. Although more time consuming I got a grasp on the emotions of the moment much more and it meant they were unedited. Such as in a letter or typing something out you may change your language but the conversational aspect translated the personal experience much better.
